Whether it’s a pack hike or one-on-one bonding, these adventure hikes ARE a blast! What a great way for your dog to be out in nature, exploring, and socializing! Adventure Hikes often include trail walking, swimming, field runs, etc! The hikes typically range anywhere from 1-4 miles long with breaks along the way!
We believe this is truly one of the best ways for the four legged members of our GDW family to spend an afternoon! Hiking beautiful trails, getting great exercise, and socializing with other dogs is the perfect way for your dog to spend it’s day. This is also one of our favorite services that we offer as we get to see how much happiness it brings to our dogs. We guarantee your dog will be happy and very tired after spending an adventure hike with us!
Just food is all that is required! Feel free to bring any of their favorite treats or toys. We can also provide toys and treats from Pet Depot if you’d like us to grab something from the store for your dog The cost of goods will just be added to your service bill.
Drop off is before 9am, and pick up is after 4pm! We can be flexible and work with you if these times don’t work.
The dogs are always supervised unless we are out with other pups! In that case we make sure every dog is safe and secured.

Yes, there will likely be other dogs boarding at the same time. We’ll perform a behavioral interview to make sure all dogs are ok being around other dogs.
Yes! Dog walks are included in the cost of dog boarding. We’ll take your dog out throughout the day and send photos to the owners! It is important to us that you have the peace of mind while you are away from your pup, to see that he is enjoying his stay with Grateful Dog Walkers.

With short notice, GDW was able to accommodate me and my dog while I took a quick job in the DC area. I was given very little notice of the job and when I contacted Grateful Dog they didn’t shy away or refer other people, they were ready to go
