At the Grateful Dog Beach House, we adhere to all the rules and routines you have for your four-legged family member. Unlike typical commercial dog boarding facilities, your pup won’t be confined to a crate. Instead, they’ll enjoy the freedom to roam and relax in our welcoming Beach House. To maintain a serene and personalized experience, we limit the number of dogs we accommodate. This means your dog will receive plenty of attention, snuggle time, and even movie nights on our comfy furniture. We strive to create an environment that meets your dog’s standards of comfort and care. We follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule and are fully prepared to handle any special instructions, including medication and house rules.
Located in Selbyville, Delaware, the Grateful Dog Beach House sits on a sprawling 29-acre farm, divided into various sections for your dog’s enjoyment. Our house has been thoughtfully redesigned with canine comfort in mind, featuring a dog-friendly living room complete with a fireplace, beds, futons, and couches just for them. Book in advance to ensure your pup’s spot at the Grateful Dog Beach House, where they can enjoy a home away from home!
Just food is all that is required! Feel free to bring any of their favorite treats or toys. We can also provide toys and treats from Pet Depot if you’d like us to grab something from the store for your dog The cost of goods will just be added to your service bill.
Drop off is before 9am, and pick up is after 4pm! We can be flexible and work with you if these times don’t work.
The dogs are always supervised unless we are out with other pups! In that case we make sure every dog is safe and secured.

Yes, there will likely be other dogs boarding at the same time. We’ll perform a behavioral interview to make sure all dogs are ok being around other dogs.
Yes! Dog walks are included in the cost of dog boarding. We’ll take your dog out throughout the day and send photos to the owners! It is important to us that you have the peace of mind while you are away from your pup, to see that he is enjoying his stay with Grateful Dog Walkers.
